Q: Where can I get the best self defense video instruction for life and death situation?
Since age 6 Ihave been studying, practicing and teaching martial arts and self defense. Circumstances prevent me from attending regular regular classes now but I still manage to get a few a hours practice in with a neighbour each week. We are currently working with Gracie combative video series. With the recent controversy regarding combat survival Krav Maga it is unlikely that I will spend much time on that course despit having spent over $300 dollars on it.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good MMA or Self defense video. I'm looking for something no more then 60.00 perfered. I was looking at bas rutens self def but it got mixed reviews and i dont trust amazon that much. Has any tried that video? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Effective is a matter of how much work you put into your discipline, no matter how or where you learn it.

Q: What's a good video that will help me learn good self defense?
Ok so I'm 13 and a lot of girls in my school are into fighting. So far I haven't had trouble with them but I guess I will eventually. I am small, white and preppy and can't punch or fight or anything. What is a good video (like on youtube or someplace) that will teach me how to defend myself if i ever get into a fight?
A: You need to go to an instructor...videos are a joke...even the ones made by the leading experts...they are more for information and cant teach anyone application...only a real class will do that for you.

A: Videos will not help with self defense, you need a legitimate teacher to train you.

All of my search attempts return classroom-style videos. I want to see how effective it is in reality.
A: There was one floating around on you tube. AN instructor was teaching a class of Police and they saw a pimp beating up on his "girl". The instructor went down to break it up and the pimp came at him. The martial artist hit him once with a backfist to the temple, it was over.

notice how CALMLY and DELIBERATELY he gets the second gun, and shoots.
kristi, he got the second gun, walked back over, and calmly executed the wounded the unarmed teen aged SUSPECT.
A: 1st degree murder, as he did not need to shoot him again. Should have just left him to bleed on the floor and see if the medics could save him. He was absolutely no threat, so the argument of self defence is not valid.
Not unknown for people like this kid to go on and lead useful, law abiding lives, especially as it is not clear he was even involved in the robbery. If he were, why was he unarmed? Could have been just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The shopkeeper has destroyed everything that this young man was, or ever could be, everything that made him a special and unique person in this world. That's why murder is so abominable.
He should go to jail.
Q: Where can I find good VIDEO tips for defense/fighting procedures?
I need good video tips/strategies/etc for either self-defense or straight out fighting. One-on-one or with a smaller hand weapon (pref. a knife), please.
